Building a more employable and future ready Filipino workforce through #TrainingToTrabaho took center stage as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. highlighted key Technical Vocational Education and Training initiatives during his 5th State of the Nation Address.Among the programs he emphasized was the TESDA Skills Passport, a digital platform that allows learners and workers to securely showcase their skills, training, and certifications. By making qualifications easier to verify, the Skills Passport helps connect skilled Filipinos with more employment opportunities both here and abroad.
President Marcos Jr. also reinforced the importance of strengthening technical vocational education in Senior High School, giving students the opportunity to graduate not only with a diploma but also with industry recognized qualifications that can help them find work, start a business, or continue their education.
Supporting this vision is Tech Voc Pro, the partnership between TESDA and the Department of Education, which brings industry aligned training closer to Senior High School learners and equips them with the practical skills that employers are looking for.

These landmark initiatives reflect the transformative leadership of TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez , whose vision continues to modernize Philippine technical vocational education through digital innovation, stronger education partnerships, and industry responsive programs that prepare Filipinos for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
Together, these efforts reaffirm the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every Filipino learner leaves school with more than just a credential. They leave with the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed to compete in today’s workforce, opening more doors to decent jobs, better opportunities, and a brighter future.
