Strengthening the quality of assessment is a vital step in producing competent and highly skilled lifeguards. In line with this commitment, the TESDA Certification Office, in partnership with TESDA Region X, successfully conducted the Capability Building Program for Prospective Regional Lead Assessors in Lifeguard Services NC II and NC III at Blu Sands Resort, Inc. in Initao, Misamis Oriental.
The program brought together 33 prospective Regional Lead Assessors for an intensive learning experience designed to enhance their technical expertise, assessment competencies, and understanding of national assessment standards. Through this initiative, participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold the integrity, consistency, and quality of competency assessment for Lifeguard Services qualifications in the region.
The activity was further strengthened through the support of the Philippine Coast Guard and the Local Government Unit of Initao, whose collaboration underscored the importance of multi-sectoral efforts in promoting water safety and developing qualified professionals capable of responding to emergencies.
Through initiatives like this, TESDA continues to advance quality technical education and skills development, reinforcing its mission of producing a workforce that is competent, globally competitive, and ready to serve the needs of the community.
