TESDA-Daikin Partnership Launches the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Training Center in Misamis Oriental

09 June 2022 | A first in the region, TESDA Sec. Isidro “Sid” Lapeña, DDG Lina Sarmiento, and party visited the province for the launching of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) training hub located at RTC-Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
The relevance of this collaboration with Daikin under the leadership of President Takayoshi Miki is to provide the Filipino learners the state-of-the-art learning facilities using the modern techniques and technology to ensure effective delivery of industrial skills to the country.
The event ended with Sec. Sid Lapeña commencing his official visit to TESDA Region 10 office in Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro, and had fruitful exchanges with the TESDA Region 10 personnel and management on the progress and key issues the agency is facing this year.

Provincial Training Center – Misamis Oriental Conducts Graduation Ceremony for Training For Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) Scholars In Libertad, Misamis Oriental

13 May 2022 | Provincial Training Center – Misamis Oriental conducts Graduation Ceremony of the Driving NC II under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). The TWSP scholars are now equipped with Driving NC II competencies including LTO Theoretical Driving Course in line with industry standards.
Driving NC II training enskills the learner in operating light motor vehicles classified under LTO Restriction codes 1 and 2; transporting passengers and loads over specified routes to local or district locations; and performing minor vehicle repairs and other minor servicing.

TESDA Lanao del Norte participates in “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery”

On April 28, 2022, TESDA-Lanao del Norte Provincial Office and Regional Training Center-Iligan headed by PD Noralaine R. Rasul, LPT, Ph.D. joined the DUTERTE LEGACY CARAVAN thru the Convergence of all Government Agencies at Camp Tomas L Cabili, Tipanoy, Iligan City. In attendance also were the Philippine National Police-Iligan, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Iligan, Central Health Office, Department of Labor and Employment, City Social Welfare and Development, Amai Pakpak Hospital, City Agriculture Office, Philippine Information Agency, Public Employment Service Office-Iligan, JCI Kulintang, Rotary Iligan, and Eagles, Association of Philippine Orthodontists-Iligan, and Masons.

Each agency delivered its services such as medical, job, and vaccination services. Further, TESDA PO Lanao del Norte and Regional Training Center-Iligan distributed Hygiene Kit to 350 individuals who participated in the activity.

The Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan is a collaboration with government agencies, as well as volunteers from other private agencies. This campaign aims to inform the public about the government’s programs, policies, accomplishments, and efforts to bring about real change in the lives of the Filipino people by showcasing real stories from the beneficiaries in their respective localities of the administration’s landmark policies and programs.
